President Buhari Shocks Many As He Makes Another Big Appointment

President Muhammadu Buhari has a knack for making appointments that would get many talking whether for good or bad.

The same way he appointed Babatunde Fashola as a ‘Super Minister’ overseeing  Works, Housing and Power, he has done same, this time in the diplomatic corp.

Buhari has appointed Amb. Kabiru Bala as new High Commissioner to South Africa, with concurrent accreditation to Swaziland and Lesotho, a development that many say is not out of order.

A statement by Ms. Sarah Sanda, the Special Assistant on Media to Foreign Affairs Minister, Geoffrey Onyeama confirmed this development in Abuja.

Sanda stated that the minister presented the letter of credence to the new ambassador on Monday in Abuja.

She added that before his appointment, Bala was Deputy High Commissioner to the UK.

A career diplomat, Amb. Bala joined the Foreign Service in 1999 and had at different times served in Brasilia, Sudan, The Gambia, Netherlands and Thailand.

He also served in the State House Office of the Chief of Staff to the President, as well as State House Protocol.

Bala will replace Ahmed Ibeto, the former Ambassador who resigned his appointment in July to join the Peoples Democratic Party.

He holds a degree in Political Science from Usman Danfodio University.

Ambassador Kabiru Bala joined the Nigerian Foreign Service in January, 1993.

In the last 24 years, he has served Nigeria in Brasilia, Khartoum, Banjul, The Hague and Bangkok.

At home, he served Nigeria in the Planning Research/ Statistics Department, and America and Caribbean Affairs Department.

He was a Special Assistant to the Chief of Staff to the President on Foreign Affairs from 2007 – 2009 as well as Deputy Director, State Protocol, from 2013 – February 2016.

He was Charge d’ Affairs at the Embassy of Nigeria, Bangkok, Thailand until his appointment as Ambassador in June, 2016 as Deputy UK Commissioner.

He enjoys reading, cycling and tree planting. He is married and is blessed with children.

It wasn’t only Georgina Boamah’s v!d.e.o but also snapped photos of herself which got leakzd as well. A report says, she was sending the p.h.o.t*s to her supposed guy fri!e.n.d but unfortunately hit social media and Ghanaians can’t have enough. This uncalled for attitude has taken over Ghana because many folks especially ladies are letting go of their own personal videos and photos. As usual, Ghface.com’s policy does not allow such video on its platform because it’s a family new portal for all. Thank you for your understanding. See photos below;
