A former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode on Tuesday urged Nigerians to resist the All Progressives Congress, APC, tyranny. He said this while reacting to reported moves by five APC members of the State House of Assembly to impeach the Speaker and the Akwa Ibom state Governor, Udom Emmanuel. Reports had it that five APC lawmakers were plotting to impeach the Speaker of the House and the governor. Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed, has admitted that he might forego his senatorial ticket for Kwara South Senatorial District for the incumbent Sen. Abdulrafiu Ibrahim. The Governor said the talks within the Dr. Bukola Saraki political family for him to step aside had been on for a while.  He clarified that forsaking the ticket had nothing to do with the November 17 by-election into Ekiti/ Oke Ero/ Isin/ Irepodun Federal Constituency. On Thursday, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) predicted that President Muhammadu Buhari was going to lose the presidential battle against Alhaji Atiku Abubakar in 2019, even as it claimed the South East region of Nigeria would not support his re-election bid. Presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party(SDP), Donald Duke has reacted to the recent slashing of cost of examinations like the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Exams(UTME), National Examination Council(NECO) SSCE and others – the increment of police salaries. The former governor of Cross Rivers state, in his reaction, urged Nigerians to ‘shine their eyes’, stating that it is no coincidence that the present government had decided to slash the costs for these examinations and increase the salaries of police, a few months to elections. The Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu, during the weekly Federal Executive Council (FEC), on Wednesday announced that the costs of JAMB, SSCE, NECO Forms has been slashed. President Muhammadu Buhari has given strict orders to the Nigerian Armed Forces to crush all terror attacks against the country. To this end, the president has sent his minister of defence, Mansur Dan-Ali, for an emergency meeting with Chadian President Idris Deby, following the recent attacks on Nigerian soldiers. The Chief of Staff and son-in-law to  Governor Rochas Okorocha  of Imo state,  Uche Nwosu  has dumped the All Progressives Congress for the Democratic Peoples’ Party, (DPP).
