Wizkid is one Nigeria Artiste that is always in the news both for the good, the bad and the contriversial reasons. There’s always crazy story, fight or beef involving the pop super star but today, Wizkid is in the news for a good course.
Despite the drama surrounding Wizkid’s personal life and his inability to be responsible in terms of family, there are still some people in his circle who believe he’s the best thing that has even happened to them.
The superstar’ bodyguard, Roy Emmanuel Obinna popularly known as Roy recently took to his Insta stories to praise the singer impacting his life positively. In the post he put up, Roy who has been his body guard since he was an EME signee, revealed that despite how many people advised him to leave Wizkid saying he had had nothing to offer, he didn’t heed and now, his life has changed for the better.
In his words: “I just wanna use this opportunity to thank my boss for putting so much joy and happiness in my life. I remember when people kept telling me ‘you free this dude, he got nothing to offer you than to use you’. But one mind kept telling me, chill something big is coming. But at the end, stew everywhere…@wizkid, you are God sent.”

Roy Emmanuel, is said to be very efficient and his loved by his boss because he goes according to the dictates of his duties.
Nigerian singer/songwriter began his career in music when he was just 11 years old. His first record, Lil Prinz, was recorded in 2001 in collaboration with Glorious Five, a group consisting of Balogun and his friends from church. In 2006, he started pursuing music full-time, at first collaborating with various Nigerian pop acts including OJB Jezreel, Naeto C, and Banky W.
By 2011 he was ready to record his debut studio album as a solo artist; Superstar was released via Empire Mates Entertainment (EME for short) to great critical and public acclaim across Africa, propelling him to stardom in his home country. After multiple delays and label disagreements, Balogun released his sophomore album, Ayo, in 2014.
His second studio album featured a multitude of guest appearances, including a spot from Femi Kuti. It also featured Balogun’s global breakthrough track “Ojuelegba.” Not only did the single cement his status as one of Nigeria’s biggest pop acts, it was also picked up and remixed by Drake and Skepta, thrusting Wizkid into the international spotlight. In return, Wizkid appeared on Drake’s 2016 smash single “One Dance.”
In March 2017, it was announced that Wizkid had signed a major deal with RCA and Sony International, which would release his third LP, Sound from the Other Side, later that year. A handful of singles appeared in advance of the album, including “Sweet Love” and the Drake-assisted “Come Closer.” October 2018 saw Wizkid issue a pair of singles, “Master Groove” and “Fever,” to mark Nigeria’s Independence Day.
Former President Goodluck Jonathan has invited President Muhammadu Buhari, former president Olusegun Obasanjo and the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar to the launch of his new book entitled: ‘My Transition Hours’. The event is billed to take place at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja on November 20. Details from the invitations letters being sent to guests by the book presentation committee, indicated that Buhari, Obasanjo and Atiku are among the dignitaries expected to grace the ceremony.
